Bushing CTs, as name implies, are used in Power and Distribution Transformers and Reactors and are housed in the lower portion of the Outdoor bushing mounted in the Transformer/ Reactor, or can be mounted over bus bar inside the transformer . In the HV & EHV class Bushings, it is the condenser portion of the bushing which accommodates these CTs

These CTs are of window type, 1.1 KV Class insulation level and using insulation material compatible with hot transformer oil.

We at AU Electro Machines” are well conscious that the expected life of a BCT must be as much as that of a power transformer. Hence due attention is given in properly design and selection of materials to make it long lasting We have designed and manufactured such CTs, both in Protection and Metering class (including accuracy class 0.20 and ISF(5) for power transformers and Reactors up to 765 KV Class. And 500 MVA. These CTs can be made in multi ratio and with Test winding also a per clients requirement.

In our last over 28 yrs of existence we have successfully produced CT covering primary current range of up 17 KA. A protection class CT weighing as much as 280 Kgs have been in our manufacturing capacity. These BCTs are provided with indelible marked Non metallic rating plates and secondary terminals marking tags , to avoid any static charge in HV& EHV class transformers. Secondary leads are fitted with suitable Lugs For connection to CT terminal plate on transformer.
